Our Volunteers
Our Volunteers
Without the help of our dedicated team members we would be nothing. We are a grassroots organization, depending on the good will, and hard work of our island friends and those who travel great distances to come to our aid.
Our Volunteers at Large
Brandi, Cookie, Dave, Diane, Estrella, Gabe, Grisel, Jennifer, John, Johnathan, Jon, Kari, Liz, Nancy, Scott, Stephanie & Vickie. These are just some of our volunteers whose work keeps us on the road, enabling us to host clinics, and bring much needed essential services to our community and our animals.
Laura Cohen
Co-Founder, Vice President, Outreach Coordinator, Trapper Extraordinaire.
Laura is our amazing community contact volunteer. Laura answers our neighbours call day and night, 7 days a week. Wether its trapping feral animals for spay and neuter, or going house to house on the island, delivering care and supplies to our pet owners, or answering calls about animals in distressed or abandoned, she does it all. We would be nothing without Laura.
Laurie Mosher
Co-Founder, President, Grant writer, Social Media, Fundraiser, Clinic Manager
Laurie rescued her first dog, J. Edgar in 2015 while visiting her home that was under construction in Vieques. She met Laura while trying to secure vet care and air flights for her new Sato back to Canada. They didn't know it then, but that was the beginning of what would become, Our Big Fat Caribbean Rescue.
Joleen Piccone
Finance Officer
Joleen is all things budget. Joleen keeps us on track, providing us up to date financial reports necessary for the monetary health and continuation of our programs. Joleen is also a valued member of our weekly outreach team and our spay/neuter, and non-profit vet care clinics.
